Japan's Sankyo and Taiwan Ta Tung aluminium jointly established a production and sales base.
The Sankyo Ta Tung aluminium Chiayi Plant, a joint venture between Japan Sankyo Tateyama Co., Ltd. and Taiwan Ta Tung aluminium Co., Ltd., held its opening ceremony on the 7th, marking a pioneering example of cooperation between Taiwan and Japan in the aluminium window and door industry. Ta Tung aluminium's introduction of advanced manufacturing processes is of landmark significance for Taiwan industrial upgrading and the improvement of MIT quality.

The innovative cooperation model between Sankyo and Ta Tung aluminium allows for the seamless transfer of advanced Japanese design and production technology and equipment to the Chiayi plant. Through its marketing hub in Taipei, the plant expands into the Taiwanese and overseas markets, injecting new vitality into the domestic aluminium window and door industry and market. It also sets a new benchmark, allowing consumers in luxury apartments and those who prefer high quality Japanese aluminium window and door products to enjoy products of the same quality as those in Japan at less than 30% of the price and service, thus improving the quality of their work and living environments.
Founded in 1960, Sankyo Tateyama Co., Ltd. engages in the development, production, and sales of building materials for residential buildings and latticework, employing approximately 5,000 people. It is one of the top three aluminium window and door brands in Japan and a publicly listed company. Ta Tung aluminium, on the other hand, is a high performing manufacturer with over 40 years of history and a leading brand of aluminium windows and doors in Taiwan.
On the morning of July 7th, the Chiayi plant of Sankyo Ta Tung aluminium Co., Ltd. was officially opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony presided over by Sankyo aluminium President Shozo Urahara, Ta Tung aluminium Chairman Chang Han-Chung, Chiayi City Mayor Huang Min-Hui, Chiayi County Deputy Magistrate Lin Mei-Chu, Chiayi County and City Council Speakers Yu Cheng-Ta and Tsai Kuei-Szu, among others. The event was attended by numerous dignitaries.

Chang Han-Chung stated that Sankyo chose to establish its first overseas production and marketing base in a joint venture with Ta Tung aluminium primarily because of the promising growth in demand for high quality Japanese aluminium window and door products in Taiwan, as well as the potential for future expansion in the export market.
Located in the Touqiao Industrial Park, Sankyo aluminium production line covers 6,000 pings and will continue to expand its production capacity, with an estimated annual output value of NT$900 million. This will not only elevate the domestic industrial standard but also create more jobs and business opportunities for the local area. Sankyo best-selling MTG aluminium window and door series for buildings will be modified to suit the Taiwan market as the STG aluminium window and door series, officially launching in Taiwan.
Sankyo aluminium has also introduced several advanced aluminium window and door designs that are not readily available to domestic consumers. These include accessories that allow for indoor and outdoor ventilation without opening windows, wide opening, easily operable floor-to-ceiling doors, and the ARMS aluminium window and door series, which won the GOOD DESIGN Gold Award in Japan. These new designs and products will be publicly showcased at the flagship exhibition center of the Chiayi plant.
